France forward Ousmane Dembélé capped a stellar season on Monday by winning the Men’s Ballon d’Or, football’s top individual honor, after leading Paris Saint-Germain to their maiden Champions League title. In the Women’s category, Barcelona and Spain star Aitana Bonmatí claimed the Ballon d’Or for a third consecutive year.

The Ballon d’Or is an annual football award presented by French magazine France Football to the best-performing player over the season. This is the first time Dembélé has won this prestigious award.
